MODIband is a non-profit cultural association that was created in 2001 by a group of people who were keen to organise events in order to bring culture closer to the people. Sala Montjuïc is MODIband’s main cultural project.
The three founding members of MODIband are Nathalie Modigliani, Mireia Manén and Guillem Galera. They based their Sala Montjuïc project on France’s Festival de cinéma en plein air, held in the Parc de la Villette in Paris http://www.villette.com http://www.villette.com
Sala Montjuïc is a not-for-profit project which is organized thanks to the support of sponsors, spectators, institutions, companies and public administration, especially Regidoria de Joventut and Institut de Cultura de Barcelona.
